Boosting Contrast And Color With The Luminosity Mask In Photoshop
1) Open Channels > hold Control and click RGB
2) Switch to Layers > Ctrl-J (for New Layer)
3) Change Blend Mode to Overlay
4) Duplicate the New Layer (by dragging it to the New Layer icon) > adjust Opacity accordingly
5) Highlight the New Layer and its duplicate > select the Menu Icon in the Layers Panel > choose New Group From Layers > choose a name and click OK
6) Open a layer mask and erase the sky to retrieve the original color

This image is of my Great-Great Grandparents on my Mother's side. The original photo was located in a cigar box left behind from my late Grandfather bundled together with other photos taken throughout the 1920s. An exact date, or even year, is unknown.
